Pierrot is my interpretation of the classic figure from theatre and art — the quiet dreamer, tender and slightly melancholic. She is one of my Grace N’ Grit girls. I wanted to reimagine this timeless character with bold colours and texture, keeping Pierrot’s gentleness in the tilted head and distant gaze.
For me, this painting is a nod to tradition, but also a modern take on expression, emotion, and the masks we carry.
