Memories

Less concerned with the anatomical correctness, with this painting I was more focussed on catching her essence – of what lay behind her eyes, which I perceived as full of depth. She has experienced conflict and cares deeply, perhaps to her own detriment. I tend to get fiddly when I paint and happily I was able to let go and loosen up with this painting.
