Grace N' Grit Series

I paint my ‘Grace N’ Grit’ imaginary portraits to celebrate and honour sensitive women who are nonetheless strong. 

These paintings are based on the many such women I met on my extensive travels. Often times the strength of these women comes from all they have been through, as they have lived through many battles and difficulties, but hold their heads high and are confident in how they project themselves. They are not afraid to express themselves through wearing things that others may shy away from. 

It is this special relationship between the sensitivity and the strength that they hold, which I find intriguing.
